My family room on February 2nd, 2025

I got my offer accepted for my house on February 2nd, 2022. I didn't realize until I started typing that out that means it's been almost 3 years of living here! The market was not very forgiving when I put my offer in and I was lucky enough and worked hard enough to be in a position to beat out 15 other really competitive offers.

This front room was the first room I'd really started putting effort into decorating. My parents bought me the couch and the only things I had before I moved were the two big shelves and the two benches in between. Those shelves and benches actually came from my great grandma's house. We always/only went there for Christmas Eve and my strongest memories were me sitting on those benches while my male cousins ran around and caused chaos. I was terrified of getting lumped in with them, so I planted my ass on those benches until it was time to go.

This room is pretty heavily PNW mid-century themed. I've got a few paintings of the Seattle skyline, Sasquatch, and the Pink Elephant car wash sign on Denny Way.

The photo of the trees on the right of this photo actually came from the Fremont farmer's market and one of my friends has another print from the same artist, but neither of us can decrypt his handwriting well enough to figure out who he is.

I just recently got these frames to hang up some photos I'd printed from my trip to Iceland in 2023. These are two pictures I'm really proud of, the first was at Skógafoss and the other was near Fagurhólsmýri. Both were stunning sights and Fagurhólsmýri is probably one of the most stunning places I've ever seen with my own eyes.
