Photography

I have always had a vague interest in photography and editing photos. One of my earliest memories of this is running around with my grandma's film camera and taking who knows how many photos of everyone's butts from the ground.

In 2023, I bought a 10-year-old Nikon DSLR to take with my on my travels through Iceland. I replaced the kit lens with a 35mm prime lens and ran all over the country taking photos. I couldn't tell you anything about the exposure triangle or how the aperture affected the image.

In 2025, I bought a brand new FujiFilm x100vi with the intention of taking photos of friends and family that I could later print out to keep. I'd recently learned about the Tacoma Photo Center and that's how I learned about the Tacoma Photo Club.

Since joining the club in February of 2025 and then as an organizer in May 2025 I've attended dozens of local photography events in Seattle, met amazing friends, and found a community that I can thrive in.
